For the first time in the history of Marshall Fleet Solutions, the Cambridge based company now has more than 12,000 assets running on full repair and maintenance contracts with customers, representing an increase of almost 200% in its contracts work over the past three years.

George Ralph, managing director at Marshall Fleet Solutions, said: 'Since 2013, we have experienced a tremendous increase in our contract maintenance business. Earlier this year, we broke the 10,000th asset barrier for the first time but this has now risen to a much higher level with over 12,000 assets currently being managed by our nationwide team.

'Such an increase in business levels is a challenge for any organisation to absorb and control but it is one that we have been able to take in our stride through our long heritage of effective mobile engineer support, investment in the correct technology as well as staff training at all levels in the company.

'The growth is a reflection of the hard work and dedication put in by the Marshall Fleet Solutions team. It doesn't stop there as we are constantly working on future initiatives to develop additional market-leading support for some of the major issues facing the industry, such as F-Gas, working-at-height legislation and standardisation in the Pharma sector'

The 12,000 assets currently on contract maintenance with Marshall Fleet Solutions include transport refrigeration equipment, tail lifts with shutter doors, lifting decks and couplings and LCV fleets.

In the region of 9,000 events are handled each month through the company's dedicated central customer service centre where staff deal with a range of calls from general service bookings and distress calls to compliance advice.

With a dedicated support team of 148 mobile service engineers and 17 wholly owned service centres across the country, Marshall Fleet Solutions operates one of the largest service support networks in the UK commercial vehicle industry.
