Fraikin has won a contract with the Suez Group in Central West France for the global outsourcing of the vehicle fleet used in its waste recycling and recovery business.

The contract includes the outsourcing and managing of specialised vehicles for waste recycling and recovery, including waste collection vehicles, roll-off trucks and specialised vehicles, such as road sweepers and skip cleaners.

This operation involves the purchase and hire-back of the existing Suez fleet of around a hundred vehicles as well as the acquisition of new vehicles.

Based on a preliminary audit encompassing the existing fleet, the business activity and maintenance, this partnership offers long-term economic, operational and environmental benefits.

It is co-managed by Fraikin Business Solutions ' a consultancy ' and Suez. The partnership also paves the way for gradual refurbishing of the fleet and fuel consumption management through a close partnership set up with Masternaut, a French automotive telematics business.

The partnership is based on a system of centralised management involving staff from Fraikin's Customer Service Centre and a network of associated branches close to Suez field staff.

Fraikin already manages more than 200 vehicles for various Suez branches in France. It also consolidates the company's position as a consultant to senior management for procurement and operations.

'I am proud that SUEZ is showing faith in us once again,' said Laurent Proust, CEO of Fraikin France.

'We are investing in the environmental sector and listening to what our customers and their customers have to say. Our aim is to address the highly specialised needs of their business areas.

'Our staff are familiar with the technical complexity of the equipment and vehicles they need. At the same time, this agreement is part of a joint consultancy approach, based on shared values'
