Truckman has appointed Michelle Smith as Field Sales Executive to support its racking and conversions division.

Michelle is responsible for field sales in the UK and her main objective is to engage with new and existing customers to showcase the full capabilities of the bespoke Truckman van and pick-up racking services. From projecting managing the conversion to investigating what vehicle security, graphics and specialist electrics the customer would benefit from.

The Truckman Conversion service covers a range of racking accessories, including ply lining, inverters, bespoke decals, electrical charging systems decals, plus many more.

The division, which was launched last autumn, has established itself with SME trade customers operating small vehicle fleets.  It has also secured its first OEM endorsements from Volkswagen UK and Toyota GB for the supply and installation of ALUCA racking systems.

Michelle has a wealth of experience in the sector, having joined Truckman after spending ten years with van racking company QI Van Systems. She spent six years in sales, previously involved in new business development, sales implementation and bid management.

Michelle Smith said: ‘Truckman is already well known for its commercial hardtop range and now it is my task to further establish its racking and conversions division as an industry leader.

“I'm looking forward to working alongside current and new customers to promote the comprehensive range of intelligent racking systems which delivers much greater flexibility.'

Mike Wheeler, Executive Chairman of Truckman, said: ‘Michelle has a proven track record in sales within this product range and, combined with her enthusiasm and dedication, is the ideal person to grow our racking and conversions division by developing the customer base across the UK.'
