A new service centre for Dennis Eagle customers in Scotland is set to open in September as part of an ongoing investment in the Scottish waste and recycling industry.

The new premises will be centrally located in Cumbernauld, between Glasgow and Edinburgh, just off the M80 motorway. It will replace the service centre at Falkirk with a larger, more modern facility including a bigger workshop and warehouse, training facilities and conference rooms.

The new warehouse will carry even greater stock than before and enable Dennis Eagle to offer a same-day delivery service to our customers. There will also be a collection point for those wanting to pick up parts themselves.

Dennis Eagle Aftermarket Director Geoff Rigg said: ‘We're constantly striving to improve our levels of customer service and that is the whole focus of the new Cumbernauld facility. It will be totally geared up to meet our customers' needs, from getting the vehicles back on the road even quicker than before to providing better training facilities.

‘It couldn't be better located, with easy access to the central motorway network in Scotland and fully dedicated to the service, repair and maintenance of refuse collection vehicles.

‘The fully equipped workshops will be staffed by our well-trained and experienced engineers with a ‘can-do' attitude. An apprentice will be working alongside them, representing not only investment in the local community but also our determination to constantly develop skilled engineers.

‘Cumbernauld will be the new cornerstone of our Aftermarket support in Scotland. In addition to this facility, with our outstanding Field Service Engineers and the DennisConnect telematics system providing preventative care and remote diagnosis of faults, our Scottish customers' vehicles will be the best looked after in the industry.'

On 12 September, a Customer Open Day is being held at the new Cumbernauld Service Centre at Unit 68, Westfield North Industrial Estate, Grayhills Road, Cumbernauld, G68 9HQ.

Geoff added: ‘We're offering an open invitation to any operators in the waste management industry to come along and see what we have to offer. We'll also have a selection of our demonstration vehicles there. And we'll be contacting our customers to invite them personally nearer the time.'
