A new pivot data tool that allows fleets to quickly summarise almost any information is the key enhancement to the latest major revision of Chevin's FleetWave web-based fleet management software solution.

Another major changes is real-time vehicle data loading - users simply enter the Registration Number or a VIN and FleetWave will auto-populate more than 40 data elements including manufacturer, model, fuel type, NCAP score and CO2 rating.

Further enhancements include a comprehensive built-in help centre featuring video tutorials, a bar chart report to make visualisation of fuel consumption comparisons easier, a module that enables projects to be created and tracked, enhanced PDF generation and mail merge functions, and the launch of Chevin's new User Experience Forum.

Designated FleetWave 2.2, the update is already in place for the fleets with a combined vehicle count of more than 800,000 who use the solution. Customers include St Gobain Transport, Bristol City Council, Honda Motor Europe and Marie Stopes International.

Ashley Sowerby, managing director at Chevin, said: 'We continuously update FleetWave with detail enhancements and, because the solution is centrally web hosted, customers are always working with the very latest version.

'From time to time, we introduce a more complete overhaul and V2.2 is one of those. Enhancements such as the Pivot Table tool and the introduction of the new User Experience Forum are genuine improvements that deliver real benefits for users.'
