Johnston Sweepers and sister company, Giletta, have teamed up to re-launch our winter maintenance range in the UK, offering a genuine alternative to the spreaders and snow ploughs currently available in the market.

Giletta has been producing winter equipment for more than sixty years and is now the second largest supplier of winter maintenance equipment in the world, supplying spreaders and snow ploughs into some of toughest environments on our planet.

Johnston has worked with Giletta to create a UK specification, ideally suited to the conditions and salt/grit type used for our roads and has combined this with a UK support network, which can react quickly to the demands of the winter equipment market.

Service and support is key to keeping equipment out there working when it needs to be, and all Giletta products are supported by Johnston's nationwide Customer Support network of service centres, supplying comprehensive service back-up throughout the UK. The centres are able to provide technical and application advice and 24/7 call out facilities, as well as service, repairs and parts supply for the Giletta range, a team of 26 mobile Service Technicians delivers the support service.

Parts for Giletta equipment are already available on line via Johnston Sweepers' e-shop ordering system, accessible through our web site. Parts can be ordered 24-hours a day on-line and, if ordered before 5.30pm, stock parts are guaranteed for next day delivery, free of charge anywhere in mainland UK. Free technical support is also available for engineers in the field, and our technical support team based in Dorking is on-hand to advise and help with repairs, fault-finding and parts enquiries.

The Giletta range offers a comprehensive choice of equipment, from 1 cubic metre slip-in spreaders, to 9m3 permanent mounted spreaders and snow ploughs. Airport equipment is also available in the range.

Giletta is part of the Swiss owned Bucher Municipal group and operates from manufacturing plants in Northern Italy and Germany.
