Following the very successful Specialist Fleet Procurement Forum held at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in March last year, LAPV continues its commitment to driving forward progress in our industry. The LAPV Future Fleet Forum (LAPV FFF) will be held on June 24 2015 at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire and will address major challenges faced by fleet and transport managers in local authorities and contracting organisations, including procurement issues, compliance, and safety.<
- Great fleet idea – but how do you make it happen?
A vital reality check showing how to overcome obstacles to change will be provided Arend Mouton, Fleet Manager for the City of London Police, who has been confirmed the final top level speaker at the Future Fleet Forum on June 29th.
- Future Fleet Forum: Progress of the Future Fleet Procurement Working Group
The first Future Fleet Forum in 2015 had a strong theme of procurement running through it. There was a chorus of dissatisfaction with the status quo and some very different opinions were voiced. There were complaints about the practicalities of implementing improvements in cash-poor, time-poor environments and advice on how to make things easier and fairer for both suppliers and buyers.

Back by popular demand, the second LAPV Future Fleet Forum held on 29 June, at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire, is all set to shine a spotlight on the shape of things to come in the local authority fleet management industry. The highlight of the event will be the keynote address from Keith Kerman, the Deputy comMissioner and chief fleet officer of the city of new york, the largest municipal fleet in the USA.
