Aebi Schmidt UK doubles capacity at Peterborough workshop

Aebi Schmidt has doubled the number of staff at its Peterborough workshop from five to ten people to cope with business demands.

Managing Director Bill Goodwin said the additional business has been achieved in a several different areas:
• Gulliver's, for the re-body of hoppers and ploughs for 33 vehicles from old chassis to new
• Ministry of Defence (MOD): the refurbishment and repair of airport equipment
• New spreaders: bodybuilding for a number of orders
• Swingo damage repairs and pre delivery inspections.
He said: ‘We now have greater control of the engineering activity, there's an increase in revenue, productivity and profitability and, last but not least, all our customers' equipment orders will be delivered on schedule.'
