Doosan acquires Ros Roca IPR and know-how

The South Korea-based multinational Doosan Enpure has acquired the intellectual property rights and know-how for the Ros Roca food waste anaerobic digestion processes.

The rights were acquired from the administrators of Imtech Water, Waste & Energy, and further strengthens Doosan's role in EPC contracting and consultancy services for food waste anaerobic digestion developments both in the UK and overseas.

The acquisition includes some major roles in projects across Europe and Asia including Spain, Austria, Sweden, Portugal, the UK and the first food waste anaerobic digestion and in-vessel composting facility in Hong Kong.

The company has also employed Kevin Clarke, as Head of Business Development – Waste & Energy. Mr Clarke has a wealth of experience in developing food waste anaerobic digestion projects for Ros Roca in the UK and overseas and will be responsible for ensuring Doosan Enpure's business penetration in this market sector.

Doosan Enpure operates in the water, waste water and renewable energy sectors and is based in South Korea. It operates in 38 different countries and has branches and subsidiaries in southern Asia and the Middle East as well as Birmingham (UK), Tampa (USA) and Santiago (Chile).
