SHB Hire has purchased a new depot in central Gloucester allowing it to relocate to a facility from which it can grow and develop its workshops and bodyshop

The company aims to have the five acre site fully developed and operational in six-to-nine months expects it will create extra jobs in the local community.

This latest expansion of the business follows the recent opening of a new body shop at SHB's Thetford depot in Norfolk and expansions to its Ashford and Newcastle depots. And the company hopes to develop further bodyshop and fabrication facilities at other depots throughout 2016/17.

SHB Hire managing director Paul Street said: ‘The purchase of the new Gloucester depot alongside the development of our bodyshop facilities really outlines our aims and desire to continually expand and truly offer a great service on a national basis.

‘It will enable us to push and improve the key aspects of our business that include a swift, easy, and cost-effective manner of service.

‘The local community in and around Gloucester will benefit from an increase in jobs following our latest expansion and the fact that this will be our biggest depot across the whole of the UK brings a significant amount of excitement with it.'
