The latest addition to Bell Equipment's range of articulated dump trucks ' the ground-breaking B60E ' will be on show at Hillhead.

Originally introduced as a concept in 2013, the B60D has proven itself as a unique solution capable of moving large volumes of material in all weather conditions, in a market segment that was previously only contested by rigid trucks.

The B60E is the next generation: a 4x4 with full articulation steering and oscillation joint, which keeps all four wheels on the ground and fully utilises the traction available, meaning it has more off-road capability than conventional rigid trucks.
Powered by the latest Mercedes Benz engine, the B60E also has an economical drivetrain that delivers significantly lower fuel consumption than a traditional rigid truck.

However, the B60E's real talent is its performance in bad weather. Rain and excess water can greatly affect traction of vehicles and many rigid trucks do not have the capability to cope in these conditions. But the B60E, with its all wheel traction, can continue to work safely with no loss in production.

Additionally, less ground maintenance at the load and dump sites, traditionally required to prevent rigid trucks from getting stuck, will save both time and money.

'With its four-wheel drive and ability, through the incorporation of an independent front and rear chassis, to keep its wheels on the ground, the B60E is ideal for a number of specific applications,' said Nick Learoyd, managing director of Bell Equipment.
'The tighter turning circle of the B60E and its ability to negotiate steeper ramps are also significant advantages over its rigid truck counterparts.'

Alongside the B60E, Bell will also be showcasing its B25E, B30E, B40E and B50E. The B50E will be on display in Hillhead's demonstration area, allowing visitors to see the E-series in action and experience its performance first hand.

Several wheeled loaders will also be on stand V1, where Bell Equipment will be showcasing a number of features designed to minimise downtime and improve performance, including the Quadcool, cooling system that is unique to Bell Loaders in the UK.
'Sometimes size does matter and the B60E certainly has that,' said Nick Learoyd.

'It has already proven itself in a number of trials across various industries and we are looking forward to introducing it to visitors at Hillhead, alongside the rest of the evolutionary E-Series and our latest wheeled loader range.'
