CMS Supatrak, the Swindon-based vehicle telematics company, has been shortlisted for a Chartered Institute of Waste Management Award (CIWM). These coverted national awards recognise outstanding achievements in the sustainability, resource and waste industry.

CMS is a finalist in the Best Innovation in Vehicle, Plant and Equipment category for its embedded HGV telematics system that is reducing fuel consumption, cutting C02 emissions and extending the lifespan of commercial vehicles across the UK and Europe.

Jason Airey, managing director of CMS SupaTrak, said: 'The team at CMS SupaTrak works very hard to make sure that our software is always meeting the ever changing needs of both our customers and the latest environmental challenges.

'We know that our system is really making an impact on the use of the planet's resources so I'm delighted that our work has been recognised. These awards are highly competitive so even to be shortlisted is a great achievement.'

The CIWM Awards are judged by the most respected experts in the sector and represent the highest level of achievement in the industry.
