Independent equipment hirer the GAP Group says it will have taken more than 900 machines from Kubota by the end of this year, ranging in size from 0.8 to 8.0 tonnes. 

Head of procurement for GAP, Ken Stewart, said: 'It`s been a great 2016 for both Kubota and ourselves with a record-breaking year which cements our position as being the largest independent customer of Kubota worldwide.

'Continuity of supply was maintained throughout the year and we were able to offer a seamless delivery to our valued customers over a wide range of industrial sectors. The support from Kubota (UK) including their dealer network has been exceptional.

'GAP's vision is to be the most innovative hire solutions provider. We were pleased to be the first customer to take delivery of the new alpha variant of the 8.0 tonne model KX080-4 which offers improved fuel and operating efficiency. Early indications are our customers are delighted with the performance of this new machine.
