A range of three new reach trucks will be launched in to the UK market in the new year by Toyota Material Handling UK.

The three new truck ranges have capacities of 1.4 to 2.5 tonnes and include, the R-Series which is designed for performance at height, the E-Series with a tilting cab for more precision and operator comfort and the O-Series for both indoor and outdoor operation.

The new BT Reflex reach trucks have a new mast design that offers lifting up to 13 metres and improved reach control. In addition, Toyota introduces the option of a transparent roof that offers the driver better vision.

The Transitional Lift Control (TLC) on all masts and the tilting cab on the E-Series have been improved on the new ranges. TLC ensures maximum load handling speeds can be maintained thanks to shock-free lifting and lowering, giving the driver more control of the load. The cab tilting movement is smoother, which not only makes it more comfortable for the operator, reducing neck strain and giving them a better view of the work they are doing.

The controls, steering, seat and floor are all adjustable to suit the driver. Optimised Truck Performance (OTP) offers enhanced reach and cornering control for increased safety and productivity.

Lithium-ion batteries are also options and they can also be equipped with a fork position laser which helps position the forks in front of the pallet.

'We launched the new reach trucks at IMHX 2016 and are so pleased to now be able to introduce them into the UK market,' said Tony Wallis, Commercial Director at Toyota Material Handling UK.

'We are really impressed with the new mast design and great features as they will offer our customers real benefits in terms of comfort for the operator. They will also help our customers to work more efficiently and reduce damage to the truck and the load.

'Lithium-ion batteries are great for intensive applications to improve energy efficiency and ease of use. And the trucks can also be connected using Toyota's I Site truck management system, allowing customers to monitor the performance of their trucks and operators'
