A new Volvo L90H loading shovel has been delivered to William Tracey to handle waste wood at the company's Linwood recycling facility in Glasgow.

The company has been operating Volvo loading shovels for more than 20 years.

The new 12 tonne loading shovel has been supplied complete with a 7.0m³ quick attachment mounted Hi Tip bucket and optional long boom.

The Volvo L90H supplied to William Tracey is powered by a Volvo Stage IV final Volvo 6 litre engine, developing 186hp with a maximum torque of 853Nm at just 1400rpm. Fuel savings are enhanced by the Volvo Eco pedal, encouraging the operator to run the machine at its optimum rpm in the engine's torque curve.

The entire fleet of Volvo loading shovels at work at William Tracey Ltd is supported by the manufacturer's Silver Service agreement, enabling the company to track running costs of each item of plant. Regular six monthly reviews with Volvo ensure each machine is monitored to so that its performance is managed in a cost-effective way.
