Mitchell Powersystems is to distribute Kubota Engines' complete range of oil and water-cooled diesel and dual fuel engines in two new UK territories following the strengthening of the strategic partnership between the two companies.

Kubota's products will now be available through MPS in the northwest of England and northern Wales from the company's Sutton-in-Ashfield depot, as well as in the south and southeast of England from its Romsey depot. The company was appointed as the Scottish national distributor via its Glasgow depot in 2016.

Each branch will also deliver full support services and spare parts to dealers and original equipment manufacturers across a range of industry sectors.

The announcement means that Kubota has terminated its relationships with Phoenix Power Services and Woodleigh Power Equipment, which were previously responsible for the northwest and south respectively. MPS will resume responsibility of these territories with immediate effect.

Daniel Grant, business development manager for Kubota UK's Engines Division, said: 'The introduction of MPS Sutton-in-Ashfield and MPS Romsey is all about strengthening Kubota's proposition to the market and driving brand growth further. By joining forces with MPS in these two new territories, we believe that we can deliver on this promise'

The Sutton-in-Ashfield depot controls all the MPS field service engineers covering the north of England and is also the home of the company's parts distribution centre, engine sales, parts sales and finance teams. The Romsey depot is ideally located to cover the south and south east of England with six engineers working from Romsey and local service stock tailored for local demand.
